Miguel Torres got back on track with a unanimous decision victory over Nick Pace. It was another showcase of the "new Miguel Torres" who has changed his game up since moving to Tri-Star Gym in Montreal. Instead of just charging in for the kill all the time, he uses his length a lot more effectively and fights at a more measured pace (no pun intended). And it's working.

Pace showed up for the weigh-ins at 141 pounds, five pounds over the limit. This infuriated Torres, and he took to his twitter to make that clear. In the bout itself, Pace seemed lethargic and tentative and Torres made him pay for it by taking every round on all three judge's scorecards. The bantamweight bout was the third fight on the UFC 139 preliminary portion of the card, and was streamed live on Facebook.

What was the high spot of this fight?

Nothing really stands out from the fight. The highlight for me was when one of Miguel's cornermen kept coming over and putting a hat on his head before the decision, but Torres kept throwing it back in the corner.

Where do these guys go from here?

Torres is still in a strange position. As a former champion, people have high expectations for him and the brutal decision in the Demetrious Johnson fight was crushing for his momentum. He's still a top-five guy at bantamweight and should be getting fights against the guys at the top. I think a bout against Scott Jorgensen makes a lot of sense for Torres' next fight.

Pace is now 0-2 in the UFC and 1-3 under the Zuffa banner. Worst than that is the fact that he's missed weight twice in those four fights. He has fought very tough competition though, and will probably get another fight in the organization. Someone book Nick Pace vs. Damacio Page, please.

Watch it now, later, or never?

Later. I'm tempted to say never because, let's face it, not a lot happened. But it's certainly worth checking out just to see how much Miguel's game has changed since his WEC days.
